CNC Precision Waterjet Profile Cutting Services

Waterjet Profile Cutting is known to be the most accurate solution to successfully cutting reflective metals and special metal alloys without altering the composition of the material associated with the heat processing. It’s ideal for high precision cuts requiring a high accuracy level of 0.15 – 0.3 mm tolerance and with a capacity thickness of up to 100 mm.

Our first-world waterjet cutting machine has a 6 x 3 metre bed with 2 cutting heads, resulting in the limitation of wastage, and halving the cutting time, while expanding the material cutting potential.
Afriqcut can cut just about any material on CNC machines, from nonferrous metals to nonmetals.

How does Waterjet Cutting work?

Waterjet Cutting Technology forces a high velocity water stream containing abrasives through a jewelled orifice. This action leads to an extremely high-pressure fine jet of water, which can virtually cut any material. The combination of water pressure, abrasives, and high velocity, erode the workpiece, creating the cut.

Abrasive waterjet cutting is ideal for profile cutting nearly any kind of material up to a thickness of 100mm.

Where is Waterjet Cutting required?

1

Laser or Plasma is not making the Cut

Opt for Waterjet Cutting on a range of materials and thicknesses without thermal impact on the material.

2

Prepare Parts before Milling

Cut on production, labour, and tooling costs by cutting two-dimensional solids quickly and easily.

3

Streamline EDM

When the EDM tolerances are not required, waterjet cutting is a cost-efficient alternative to cutting non-conducting materials, where EDM cannot.

The Following Unique Materials Benefit from Waterjet Cutting

Metals

Hardox, Armox, Bennox, Weldox, Roq, Armour Plate, Brass, Copper, Aluminium, Titanium, Tungsten, Tool Steels, Mild Steel, Spring Steels, Friction Material, Tungsten, Inconel, Hastelloy, and Stainless Steels.

Non-Metals

Foam, Rubber, Vinyl, Glass, Armoured Glass, Stone, Plastics, Granite, Fibreglass, Polycarp, Polyethylene, Plexiglas, Marble, and Laminates.
